Our exclusive design

We have reconsidered the traditional bathrobe, one detail at a time

A bathrobe is an important garment during transitional moments. It is essential, especially when other people are at home.

To make it perfect for our active lives, a transformation needed to take place! This is why we paid special attention to every detail, in order to make it practical and comfortable for our daily activities, as well as being decent and elegant.

For the women's style :

Lined and pleated at the chest for just enough coverage to feel comfortable and decent while being braless.

For men's and women's styles :

Both the women's and men's bathrobes are fitted, which make them stylish while still allowing great freedom of movement.

Neckline :

  • Wide crossing so that it closes well
  • Close to the neck to feel wrapped up

Sleeves :

  • Easy to pull up
  • Wide enough to move easily
  • Narrow enough at the cuffs to avoid dragging in dishwater, food, plants, compost, etc.

Belt :

  • Integrated so it stays in place
  • Elegantly fitted at the back with an elastic

Pockets :

  • Large enough to hold a cell phone
  • Comfortable to put your hands in your pockets

Length :

  • Long enough to cover comfortably and properly and short enough not to be cumbersome when moving.

Our fabrics

Combining comfort, environment consciousness, and local availability of fabrics: A major challenge but a priority for us

Not just any fabric is chosen at MiniRobe! When we choose a fabric, it must meet our expectations. We evaluate it carefully and the fabric must meet several criteria.

In order to be chosen, a fabric must first and foremost be comfortable, that is to say it must be soft and stretchy. It must also be thick enough to have structure, while being flexible and absorbent. It should be neither too hot nor too cold.

Then we prioritize fabrics made up primarily from natural fibers or those resulting from innovative production techniques which seek to be gentler for the planet. In addition, we opt for fibers that do not tend to retain odors.

The fabric scraps are reused in other projects to minimize waste.

Our fabric used for our Signature MiniRobe is composed of 80% organic cotton fibers and 20% polyester (the latter is essential since it serves to give it more flexibility).

We are extremely proud that it is knitted in Canada.

Our production

For us, local production is precious

MiniRobe chooses to work in collaboration with local suppliers.

Human well-being is at the heart of our priorities. It is the deepest source of our motivations.

As for any project, there are a multitude of people who continuously put their hearts into their work in order to offer you a well thought-out bathrobe, made right here in Canada. Many dedicated people are involved when producing and offering garments, from the person who designs the bathrobe, the one who makes the pattern, the one who makes the Canadian fabric, the one who sells the supplies, the one who cuts the fabric, the one who sews it, the one who helps with the logo and branding, the one who helps with the trademark, the one involved with marketing and sales, photos, label printing, the one who helps with the website design, the one helping with the administrative components , the one who helps with inventory management, to the one who ships, etc. The sum of the heartful work of each of these individuals is part of the garment you are receiving and wearing every day.

From our perspective, it is this natural partnership of people working in synergy that makes local collaboration so valuable. Proximity unites us and helps us form lasting work relationships, all focused on the same goal.

This way, we are contributing together as a team and towards each other also to the development of individuals who aspire to propel the Canadian clothing know-how, to make it more vibrant and flourishing.
